A lot of people will remember Ashleigh as the
beautiful Ballerina who accompanied her dad, Steve, to dance the
wonderfully moving ‘Toy Story’ at Equitana’s 2001
Mane Event. At the time Ashleigh was 10 years old, and showing real
professionalism, kept her dear old dad from getting ‘too nervous’.
As well as performing in the Mane Event, Ashleigh also rode the
gorgeous pony Linlea Tango as the Equitana Fairy.
Ashleigh is a serious horse woman, she rode Equestrian
Excellence Barbie to win the Novice dressage test at the State dressage
championships, a great feat against 72 other competitors in the under 13 years
age group. Another great achievement was winning Berrima horse
trials.
On Equestrian Excellence Zulu, Ash has had enjoyed the
eventing arena, placing 2nd at PCA State Championships and being
selected on the Equestrian Australia state Schools eventing squad
after winning at the NSW interschools championships.
Equestrian Excellence strives to achieve riders who can compete
in all phases of equestrian pursuit. Ashleigh is a fabulous example
of this philosophy not only is she an accomplished dressage rider,
she loves jumping and eventing and has also won the odd champion
in the sporting arena.
